So much has changed since my youth it is almost hard to account for. No longer are the four basic food groups a widely regarded way of organizing one’s diet. Saturday morning cartoons, formerly a staple, are by and large completely wiped out. Action figures and toy cars seem to have been widely pushed aside in favor of video games, which in my day were not the cornerstone of a child’s toy regiment.
One thing that has not changed: the Crayola company remains the go-to manufacturer of arts and crafts supplies not to mention one of a leading names in educational school supplies. Crayola continues to be the go-to company when it comes to markers, colored pencils and, of course, crayons but they are a lot more as well. They have glitter and stickers not to mention a wide variety of decorative glue products. Add that to the seemingly endless variety in the magic marker market and you have what accounts to one of the best brand operations in American history.
Who can honestly say they have no connection to the Crayola brand? They have been the definitive name in arts and crafts supplies for decades and I expect things to stay that way for the foreseeable future.
