Putting Ideas To Paper Is Important For Some
My pad ran out at work the other day. Some people find it strange that I still use a pad and pen considering everything I do ends up on a computer anyway but keeping a log of tasks to be done and tasks accomplished with the tactile sensation of actually writing is actually essential to me organizing my thoughts and staying steady with my work. For me being able to write out a thought is essential to my memory of said thought. This all stems from my studying methods in school where writing and rewriting gave me valuable time to fully understand what I was putting on paper. It was not mindless copying, it was reading while I wrote and writing with the full essence of every word at my fingertips. A teacher once advised us to digest an idea like we would food except since an idea has to do with consciousness it needs to be digested thustly. It has to be chewed up by your eyes and ears it has to be swallowed by your brain it has to be digested by your consciousness and it has to be excreted either verbally or in my case on paper. That has always made me fully able to do work and understand information presented to me.
