Nostalgia And Educational School Supplies

I still have nostalgia for a lot of my old educational school supplies. Any time I see a bottle of White Out or take a glue stick to the back of something I am adhering somewhere I can not help but be brought back in time to when I was in school. Learning was always fun for me. The world seemed so much simpler back in the days of Trapper Keepers and nap-sacks. I remember my Ghostbusters lunch box and my favorite pencil(Bart Simpson Pencil September through November 1990). These things were my life at that time. Stuff I spent

seemingly every minute with.

So that is why when I look for discount office supplies I try and do it with the kind of joy I took in loading up on the coolest pencil cases. We might be swapping cartoon branding for plain functionality but that does not mean that these discount office supplies do not come with their own impending nostalgia value. Someday I will consider the stapler I used to put a particularly strong quarterly earnings report together as fondly as the markers used on my 1992 science project. (Mr Kuck’s class, the “Structural Stability Of An Egg Shell.” A+, 2nd place in the school wide Science Fair.)
