We are already in spring and while the chill in the air has not quite went the way of Christmas decorations and all those Valentine’s cards it seems like it could any day now. So with that comes a whole world of excitement. Hopscotch and baseball, jump rope and trips to the park, it’s like shaking off the winter with some excellent outdoor physical activity. It is healthy and our kids can use the exercise and fresh air. But sometimes rain happens.
When it does the rain can really throw a wrench in your plans. As the rain drenches the bases at the little league field you should be prepared for some indoor fun. Arts and Crafts supplies can be just what the astute mother is looking for. It keeps your kids pro-active(unlike television) and makes the kids feel like they’ve really accomplished something(unlike bored… I mean board games).
Educational school supplies become brain stimulating toys when they have to. They allow your children to exercise their creative muscles, which definitely deserve the work out that their physical muscles do. When you’re done you get to praise the great work and even display it around the house. More importantly they didn’t drive you crazy by making a huge mess. Everyone wins!
